Nimbuzz- A new world of instant messaging!

We just released a brand new version of Nimbuzz Mobile for Java, Symbian, and Windows Mobile phones (new iPhone version to follow soon)!

This new version includes:

  • Display Pictures: You set your own display picture/avatar. Take one with the camera on your mobile phone and set it now. We also display pictures from buddies in other communities.
  • Appear Offline: Stay invisible to friends on Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, Gtalk, MySpace, and Gadu-Gadu when you are signed in. On Nimbuzz, and other supported communities you will appear as “Away”.
  • Add New Buddies: You can now add individual buddies from AIM, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger (MSN), MySpace, Yahoo, and Nimbuzz, of course :)
  • Improved Battery Life: This new version is your batteries’ best friend. We have significantly reduced the amount of battery power needed – and Nimbuzz now runs longer on even the smallest battery

My experience with Nimbuzz
But of course this time it come with some catch. Ads are started appearing in the chat window and the application doesn't let us to close the window.
The surprising part is the Twitter feeds.. This is something amazing which I have found in this version. Something very similar to the Gravity interface(another twitter client).
Some more things to add to the surprise package. Chat will come as pop ups on the main phone screen( and this means the chat is not just limited to the application). This feature would let us know the chat even if we are not really vigilant with Nimbuzz application. This one beat the blackberry chat functionality by a mile in user friendliness and user experience.
I just wanted to try Fring also for the advancement in the features and functionalities part. and the selfish reason was to have another to have another chat ID up and running (official one). This time it is more awful with its $%^&.... (i donno what). I did uninstall it then and there. Hopefully Nimbuzz will come up with multiple ID support for Gmail atleast :P

Call your messenger contacts thru your phone...!!

About Nimbuzz Mobile
Nimbuzz Mobile lets you call, chat, message, and send files on the go, for free. It combines all your buddies from Skype, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, Google Talk and more. One login, one contact list, all accounts.
See who´s online and where, call/group-call, chat/chatrooms, offline messaging, send photos/music/video, voice messaging.
Nimbuzz Mobile free to download and use. Nimbuzz will not charge or bill you for anything. However, since Nimbuzz uses your internet connection, incremental data charges from your provider will apply. We therefore strongly recommend to use the mobile client only with a flat-rate data plan or free Wifi connection.
Save Money: Instead of calling minutes, Nimbuzz uses the internet to let you make free international calls to your buddies. You can also register your VoIP account to call your friends on landlines and mobile phones.
Calling your messenger contacts thru your phone... Now how cool is that.!!! I use this facility and it works fine even with the GPRS.
Locate your Friends: Share your location and retrieve the location of your buddies on a map. Great for arranging face to face meetings.
Make yourself heard: If your buddies are offline, let them know you’re trying to get in touch by sending them a "Buzz". It will start Nimbuzz Mobile on their mobile phone.
Never lose your Contacts: Use the Phonebook to back up and restore your contacts. Contacts will be backed up online. Comes in handy when you have lost your mobile phone.
